So here I'm to put forth my views on Women Empowerment and India. As we all know Women had a Secondary Status in terms of Human Rights and all. In early 70's and 80's females were used to be under Veil. Not even allowed to show there face off and see the Enchanting world. Later due to some of the Reformers this undesirable traditions came to an end. Still there was a long way to go. Even Females weren't allowed to complete their Education. For this unlawful activity, we all know Savitri Bai Phule fought with all her strength and courage and finally Females were granted Right To Education in India. Later in 1950's After Independence Indian Constitution Granted Rights to the Women to Vote.
So basically if you look closely at all these events, You will see Women Empowerment Era had Begun already. Now some of you may wonder What's this Empowerment Era. basically Empowerment means granting someone Authority, Freedom or Right to do certain activities which they deserve to do and hence I'll say This Women Empowerment Era is still going on in India. Now the reason for the same I'll explain you Later on with some Real-Life Examples.
Here you can see the Proof of all those things. These graphs will give you a brief Insight.
One of the Survey shows India's Sex-Ratio increased from 914 in 2004-2005 to 919 in 2015-2016.Now presently there are some Special Provisions or Rights for Women in India. I'm listing some of them below.
1) According to Provision Listed under Equal Re-numeration Act, Women have Right to Equal Pay.
2) Women have Right Against Domestic Violence.
3) Women have Right Against Work Place Harassments.
4) Females have Right to fight against unlawful deeds Like assault.
5) She has right to keep her Identity Anonymous in above such Cases.
Now these are some of the Laws. Now let's Take some Real Life Examples, We all know the case of NIRBHAYA. Here 2 Laws came into Picture. First her identity wasn't revealed and second She fought for Justice and got Justice. The culprits in this case were hanged on 20 March 2020.
Now you guys understood why I used is instead of was in that Statement?? Let's take Latest Examples, the Latest film MIMI. A simple village girl who agrees for Surrogacy for Money Later Find herself in Great Trouble after the parents of the child decided to discard the child and the story focuses on how she raises the child on her own. Now this is a Women-Centric Film and the Film is a Huge Hit. Another film RAAZI in which a simple Indian Girl shows up so much courage and saved her country. Again that was a Blockbuster. And the list goes on...
You can take various examples from International celebrity Priyanka Chopra to most followed Politician Sushma Swaraj to First women IPS Officer Kiran Bedi and the List is Infinite. These women have inspired Millions of girls Like me to accomplish our Goals and be Independent Financially and Mentally too.
So indeed This is the Era of Women Empowerment and surely India is taking a Lead in it!!!
